Tazo's - For me these were more about collecting rather than the actual game, where if my memory is correct you have the 'slammer' being a solid plastic disk and you needed to 'slam; it into the other Tazo's trying to flip ones around...
Detroit Pistons - Power Ranking
All RankingsIt's tough to remember a time this year that the Pistons wanted to win, but they haven't done a good job of not winning recently going 5-7 in the last 3 weeks which has seen them rise a little in the standings. Diabate is a monster that has one of the best contracts in the league. Young talent like Bailey, Jenkins, Thompson and Wiliams is going to shine through into next year and the team is going to add a top lottery pick to the base and have a chunk of free agent cash to spend to boot. All is not lost in Detroit as the rebuild continues.

Logan’s War - Young energy, but still taking their lumps.
The Fresh Prince but Carlton - "Now this is a story all about how my stats got flipped, turned upside down." Carlton Banks had all the right intentions, dressed well and never quite understood why it wasn't working and the Pistons are living that same very polite, very confused existence in the power rankings basement. They show up every week looking sharp on paper. The stat sheet tells a different story. Somewhere between the Will Smith swag and the Bel-Air mansion is Carlton doing the Running Man alone in the living room, wondering why nobody else is dancing. Lovable. Trying hard. Absolutely not threatening anybody's playoff spot
The “Figure It Out Yourself†Teacher: Full rebuild mode. The GM has eyes on the future, especially with Ace Bailey drafted, but right now it’s hands-off development - students are learning through trial and error more than structure. 'Just get the smartest kid to explain,"
Zubac/1st FOR Gafford/1st. Face value you might think that's selling super low for a guy like Zu. BUT it is for their own 2026 first back. The Pistons have well and truly waved the white flag and this upcoming draft is loaded at the top end. Time will tell but they may pick up a legitimate franchise cornerstone hopefully reviving old mate Sheed and his struggling Pistons.
Getting cut off in traffic - I am not sure why this creates such an emotional reaction. Some people get on the horn, some people scream out the window, some people don't react much and some people follow that car and try to get their own road rage revenge. I have done all of those things except the last, that seems a bit extreme. Detroit have some nice young talent and we will see how they handle themselves going forward.
Detroits week 11 matchup against Philly saw Diabate put up an incredible stat line - 24 points, 18 rebounds, 7 assists, 4 blocks, 2 steals.
Dances with Wolves (1990) – long season, long suffering, long way to go. A bitter chill in Detroit. But they knew this coming into the season. They forecast this at the start of the season.
A very young Detroit team lead by Ausar Thompson, I love the record at 15-23 honestly. Still being competitive and winning games while also letting the young guys play. Look out for Ace Bailey very soon.
I'm Only Hear For the Highschool Diploma- His parents take him to and from school to make sure he doesn't disappear. He turns up to class and jokes around a bit and is a legend amongst his cohort for the memes he makes about the teachers. If his parents weren't so set on him getting his highschool diploma he could be a credit to society and actually has some great ambition for when school is over. Right now he's messing around and throwing pencils at the fans for his own amusement.
Hercules- A strong foundation, still figuring it out. Young and strong - they have been able to prove many wrong. Effort and youth are there—execution is a work in progress. Building for the future, currently completing all of the trials.
Gold Digger – Kanye West featuring Jamie Foxx Clever and alert, it critiques distractions and highlights strategic awareness. The theme reflects a team navigating challenges tactically. On the hunt for draft gold, expect Detroit to dig themselves into a deeper hole in the loss column as the season goes on
Balance & Composure: The Pistons are in the early stages of a rebuild, but there’s a calm competence to what they’re doing that feels intentional rather than desperate. Balance & Composure built their reputation on restraint—moody, measured post-hardcore that emphasized cohesion, tone, and slow burn development over instant payoff. Detroit mirrors that approach. Ausar Thompson is the clear foundation, Kyle Kuzma provides veteran scoring and stability. Sitting at 4–8 after three weeks. Like Balance & Composure, this isn’t about flash or immediate contention; it’s about establishing an identity, trusting the process, and letting growth happen organically.
The Hanged Man: Represents surrender, pause, and seeing things from a new angle. Change occurs through letting go. The Pistons went all Elsa and 'Let it Go', leaning heavily into a gut and rebuild. Trae out, Ace in and lots of questionable coaching moves. Sheed has increased his activity as of late; new Pistons era approaching?
The Pistons at #23 are definitely, absolutely, unquestionably not tanking — no sir, not even a little. Losing games by 8, starting a rotation that feels like a G League all-star draft, and giving heavy ‘player development’ minutes to everyone under 25? Pure coincidence.
Childhood Reference: Nerf sword kid. Detroit swings wildly, with Marcus Smart leading the charge like the kid who brought foam weapons to recess. Who knew tha the Pistons had all this going on!? You might think your weapon is good, but Detroit asked for the Nerf Doomsday Bunker starter pack - and they aren't messing around with their perimeter defence. "Where is he!?" - as you get hit in the forehead, dead centre.
