A recent acquisition for Ben. Josh Christopher doesn't sound very European though. Maybe he is from an English speaking part of Europe. Not as substantial week as his other 2 team mates in this award. But another one that Ben obviously likes the look of and was quite efficient in his 14 minutes. One to keep an eye on as this philly team full of youth continues to gel together.
I struggle to pronounce his name, he's from Europe and he is actually pretty good. You guessed it. He is one of Ben's players. Omer actually has been really good all season for ben and it has showed in week 18. He pulled down 16 boards a game to go with 12 points on really great shooting numbers. Philly are right in the mix of the play in and need continued performances like this from there rookies to stay in the fight.
Isaiah exploded this week for The Pacers. Basically doubled or even tripled all his counting stats. A late first round pick for spud. This is exactly what he is after. Gradual improvement all seasons. They are well off the pace in terms of wins, but performances like this from their rookies is as good as any W. Jackson will get as many minutes as he can handle as the season comes to an end of the pacers, so look for some more cool stat line improvements like these.
An older mature 2 way guy giving the spurs some handy minutes off the bench. I have never heard of him and hope to never speak of him again after this. But good luck to him in his quest to win Rookie of the week. Getting 22 minutes a game this week on the defending champs is a nice feather in his cap. Perhaps maybe even the highlight of his career. God Speed Ish Wainwright.
Another Clip. Another guy showing more than enough IRL and in the NSL. Doubled his output this week with a bit more responsibility minutes wise. Another first round pick that it is great to see is improving as the season goes on. The Clippers are heavily investing in these guys for the right now too. Giving them lots of minutes and seeing what they can do. An exciting position to be in going into the Playoffs.
Aussie Jock. These aren't really stats to get excited about. But it is still cool to see Jock playing in the NBA. He is giving Malio serviceable minutes off the bench and is very reliable. But isn't winning any awards any time soon. Especially not this one. Magic are trending in the right direction though and Jock might get to see some important NSL playoff minutes.
Clippers love their youth just as much as anyone. Kispert has had some really nice games in the NBA with some fun stat lines. The same can be said in the NSL. Playing a healthy amount of minutes on a playoff bound side is a really good sign. Contributing across the board, Kispert looks set to be a mainstay and a really nice pick from the Clips. He will be hoping to see Corey perform well under the bright lights of the upcoming playoffs. Great to see another rookie making a solid contribution on a good team
DayRon is a big strong dude. Has been solid when given the chance in the NBA for The Nets and has been really good lately for Ben. He nearly doubled his seasons output in points this week. putting up 12 a game on really efficient shooting. Also 8 rebounds a game is well up on his season average. Philly are an exciting team with some really nice rookies that are helping them on a playoff hunt. DayRon is such a cool name as well.
A steady season. Putting up 5 and 5 in 19 minutes on a really good team. You wouldn't expect much more from a rookie on a team looking to go all the way. Nice bit of recognition for the Nuggets and Johnson has had a few nice games IRL. But he isn't a factor in this award.
What a cool story. A 2-way Rook that has come in recently and made a splash. Had some really impressive NBA games and Laddas is hoping that will translate to the NSL. Nothing to really report stats wise in this league. But he is active now and getting some minutes and showing what he can do. Hopefully finishes the season with a Bang!
